Jason & I ended up going to the lake for the night to hang out with Mike, Joe, Lyndie, Hec, Joffry, & Dana. I met Joffry & Dana at Hec’s crawfish boil a few weeks ago, but I couldn’t remember until Dana mentioned that she was pregnant at the time. I remember worrying about her a little because she was pregnant and eating crawfish… I’d heard that you’re not supposed to while you’re knocked up but after seeing pictures of the (GORGEOUS) baby, I didn’t have reason to be concerned. I’m just paranoid, I guess, haha.
Emma stayed with my mom and we both got slightly… intoxicated. Ok, I got pretty massively intoxicated. I’d eaten 2 sausage & cheese kolaches from Shipley’s earlier in the day and a bag of chips while we were on the road (HOLY CRAP WHAT A LONG DRIVE). So, because I hadn’t eaten much, the beer got to me more quickly than usual. I think I might’ve left the camp fire and took myself to the cabin to go to sleep around midnight. I’m not good at being drunk, it seems. haha, I suck so bad. but we had a blast and I’m glad we went.
Emma’s laying in our bed, watching Monsters, Inc while Jason snores quietly on the couch. I was supposed to take a nap too, but I decided to check my Facebook and see what fics my old friend had posted… and I haven’t stopped copying them into files so I can read them while I’m bored at work.
Emma’s doing pretty good with her potty training. We keep asking her if she has to go, but a few minutes ago she went all on her own. YAY!! I never thought I’d be so excited over going potty, haha.
I think I’m going to attempt to do some homework before the week starts to make sure that I don’t fall behind again. I don’t like staying up late and stressing myself out over a couple of quizzes and card reports and a discussion board post that, by all accounts, should not be difficult to do.
Jason’s mom (Mary) is having a party tonight for the 4th of July. Jason’s complaining that he’s tired and doesn’t want to go, but I have a feeling that once we both hop in the shower, he’ll change his mind and we’ll be on our way.
